Day 2 of Navratri
When Shailputri Ma came into awareness of Her love for Shiva, she came into the form of Brahmacharini Ma. In this form Ma did tapasaya (penance) to unite with Shiva. And so is the tale of Mythology.
At a spiritual understanding level, this form of Brahmacharini Ma represents Love and Shiva - The Oneness. Love goes through many many many tests till it drops all expectations and conditions and comes into awareness of Oneness to become Unconditional Love.
Mantra:
Om Brahmachaariniye Namah
Meaning : I surrender my doubting mind, judging intellect and Discriminating Ego to dissolve every expectation, condition, bias, prejudice, emotion that separates me from being aware of Oneness that I Am.
